Opportunities For You

The PWP career club is a chapter-based, social networking membership organization that engages those at-risk across America, due to limiting beliefs, in weekly skill-building contests. New chapter prototypes are in development in each of 4 membership divisions.

High School Division: Aspirational low-income urban high school youth, coached by teacher advisors and supported by community volunteers, compete weekly in skill and knowledge contests to qualify for apprenticeships and college scholarships to become  college-bound graduates. Chapters are hosted by high school principals.

College Division: Aspirational low-income college students, coached by career strategists, advised by career consultants, compete weekly for internships that provide a career jumpstart in a very competitive job market. Chapters are hosted by college administrators.
Breakthrough Division: Aspirational urban work-life adults under 30 compete weekly to achieve career milestones that represent mental and physical breakthroughs, equipping them with skills needed to advance their careers. Chapters are hosted by young professionals with demonstrated career success.

Pearls For Life Division: Aspirational work-life adults 30, 40, 50, 60 years old seeking even greater success and fulfillment compete weekly to build skill domains where new opportunities exist or are created. This provides a feeling of purpose and destiny. Chapters are hosted by religious, civic and business leaders.

Jim Harris, Founder, is conducting 15-minute prototype website  information tours introducing principals and teachers, business executives, and civic leaders to PWP Career Club as an innovative solution to the pervasive problem to poverty mindset that prevents so many from becoming the best they can be. A quick online survey at the end of the tour is requested.

Building Dreams • Setting Goals • Achieving Milestones

Many believe our public educational system needs reform. (Watch This Video) PWP seeks to enhance it because it's losing far too many at-risk, low-income, aspirational students (pearls). The average student-to-counselor ratio of 500-to-1 in high poverty schools means that few pearls receive the career counseling they need. Of course, this contributes to the Skills Gap in America.
